Murray Watson is freelance Broadcast Journalist, who was BBC Kick Off Reporter in 2013 at Radio Derby, and has been a regular contributor to the red button stream of BBC Wales Scrum V coverage of the Celtic League.
He currently commentates on the midweek home matches of Nantwich Town in the Evo-Stik League for the club (@dabberslive). You can listen to his commentary on www.mixlr/NTFCLive when the matches are on.
He also hosts and produces Nantwich Town’s monthly podcast.
By Day, Murray is a teacher of Maths, who has worked throughout the Midlands of England and North Wales. He has also taught in Auckland, New Zealand, where he coached the U15 A grade rugby team to the Auckland Schools championship and played for College Rifles. He is a qualified rugby referee and a Level 3 rugby coach (NZ accredited) and plays for Stafford RFC. He is a Season Ticket Holder and Shareholder of Heart of Midlothian FC in the Scottish Premier League and a member of the Foundation of Hearts.
Murray is also a member of the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Swimming Sports Management Group (SMG) He is an announcer at their national events and is involved in the provision of elite swimming for BUCS.
